Trail’s End Restaurant Refurbishment Update from July 4th, 2023 at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
Hi everyone!
Trail’s End restaurant at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground closed after service on April 16th, 2023 to become a marketplace concept. The restaurant had not been a buffet since before the pandemic closure, but it was one of my favorite buffets for many years on Walt Disney World property. Currently, Trail’s End Restaurant, Crockett’s Tavern and Daniel Boone’s Wilderness Arcade are all closed but a sign says they are reopening mid-summer.
We were at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort yesterday for the annual Fourth of July golf cart parade, and I took construction photos of the restaurant exterior. Here are the pictures!
On the Walt Disney World website, it says “Trail’s End Restaurant is temporarily closed for refurbishment and will reopen in summer 2023 with a new marketplace concept and expanded quick-service options”.
There is a lot of work going on outside the restaurant.
The Trail’s End signs are currently gone.
Lots of signage lines the fences here.
This sign gives food and beverage options available while Trail’s End Restaurant and Crockett’s Tavern are closed.
All the stairs outside are being redone.
The wheelchair ramp is being redone.
Stairs lead up to P&J’s Southern Takeout.
A Mobile Order Pickup is available for P&J’s Southern Takeout.
The location for pickup is in Davy Crockett’s Wilderness Arcade. There are no fountain drinks, but there is coffee.
Here is a look at the coffee setup inside.
It is a small area for pickup at several stations.
We will keep you posted when we find out more about the opening of Trail’s End! In addition, there will be a Disney Vacation Club update to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Cabins coming for 2024.
