EPCOT Construction Update from June 27th, 2023 Including CommuniCore Hall
Hi everyone!
I took the monorail around EPCOT today for some new construction photos. There are noticeable changes to some areas even in the past week.
Here are my photos from today! At the end of the article, I also have photos taken from the ground.
First, here are a couple of photos of the upcoming rideshare loop. There was some work going on when I passed by.
The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival runs about one more week, ending on July 5th. I will miss all the flowers and topiaries being out. Beyond the flower quilt is CommuniCore Hall and Plaza.
This small building looks a little different than last week with the wood at the top.
CommuniCore Hall will be a flexible exhibition and gallery space, “offering a wide variety of experiences that highlight art, live music, food – complete with a demonstration kitchen – and more.” There will also be a new meet and greet for Mickey & Friends.
CommuniCore Plaza is also here and “will have the flexibility to host intimate musical performances that extend out into the nearby gardens as well as large-scale concerts.”
The Dreamer’s Point area that will feature the Walt the Dreamer statue has come along quite a bit since last week.
Here are more photos as we travel around the center of EPCOT.
Here is a look at the reopened restrooms.
I don’t remember seeing these elements from this direction last week.
Here is a look at the Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana walk-through.
Here are photos from the ground inside EPCOT.
That is it for this week! We will be back again in the next week or two to take photos around the EPCOT monorail loop.
