Vintage Video: “The Timekeeper” From 1995 at the Magic Kingdom

Hi everyone!

Jeff’s vintage video this week is The Timekeeper from the Magic Kingdom. Jeff took the video in 1995. The attraction first debuted at Disneyland Paris on April 12th, 1992 (grand opening day of the resort) as Le Visionarium. The Timekeeper then opened at Walt Disney World, running from November 21st, 1994 through February 26th, 2006 at the Magic Kingdom (although it was showing only occasionally by that time).

Timekeeper was an Audio-Animatronic played by Robin Williams and Rhea Perlman played 9-Eye. The Timekeeper was a Circle-Vision 360 movie presentation that features time travel to various historical periods, with famous people including Jules Verne and Mozart.

Here is our video of The Timekeeper! Jeff scaled it up to 4K so it would look better on a larger screen. We had posted the show almost 10 years ago but Jeff added in some extra footage this time around as well.

I am glad I was able to see The Timekeeper many times in person.

The Timekeeper was replaced by Monsters Inc Laugh Floor in Tomorrowland.
