Disney’s Grand Floridian Easter Egg Display 2023 Photos and Video

Hi everyone!

We visited Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort on Thursday to check out this year’s Easter egg display. We just missed it when they were placed on March 7th as we were heading out that day for a 2-week trip to Disneyland Paris.

There are some wonderful new eggs this year and also many returning eggs. The display will run through Easter, which is April 9th, 2023. Here is a look at Disney’s Grand Floridian Easter egg display for 2023!

First up, our video of the display.

I have more than 50 photos of Disney’s Grand Floridian Easter egg display. The display is located in the lobby.

Piper from the Pixar short returns in egg form this year.

Figment on Spaceship Earth is also back. You can see the points of light on Spaceship Earth.

Orange Bird is new! The Orange Bird sits in a crate of oranges.

The new eggs all (or mostly) have information about the egg designer. Stephanie has 18 years of service at Disney, with a long history of attending the parks.

I won’t have the information on every member of Disney’s Grand Floridian Bakery team with a new egg, but I do have quite a few.

The “Luca” egg and the Magic Kingdom egg are returning. There are smaller eggs as well in front of them, like 101 Dalmatians, a Mickey egg and “The Lion King”. It would be easy to totally miss them among the bunnies, small chocolate eggs and candy pieces.

Kevin from Disney and Pixar’s “Up” is huge and wonderfully designed.

Her chicks are below.

On the other side of the lobby, most of these eggs are returning.

The “Ratatouille” egg is returning, but a favorite of mine (“Ratatouille” is my favorite animated movie).

A Snow White and The Avengers egg are side by side. They were here last year as well.

The “Encanto” egg with Mirabel and Isabela is back as well. This is a gorgeous design with Casa Madrigal in the background.

New is this small Mr. Toad egg.

The Tow Mater egg features Mater on the front.

And here is the back of the egg, with other aspects of Radiator Springs.

Next is a Disney Munchlings inspired display.

Krysta from Disney’s Grand Floridian says the egg “combines the two things that I love, Disney and Baking”.

Next is an egg for Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog”.

The back features Tiana in a gown.

This amazing egg is inspired by the Country Bears. Bunny, Bubbles and Beulah Bear (the Sun Bonnets) are featured prominently. On top are Melvin, Buff, and Max.

There are portraits of various Country Bears on the egg.

This egg is stunning!

Loren talks about the Country Bear Jamboree.

There are still more eggs!

New this year is this “The Sword in the Stone” egg.

The egg includes Merlin, Arthur, Madam Mim and Archimedes.

Juan talks about growing up watching “The Sword in the Stone” every day.

Next is this exquisite “Alice in Wonderland” egg, with the White Rabbit sitting on top.

Cast Member Yadi created this egg.

Alice sits on a mushroom with the flowers nearby. There are a lot of small details here.

Here is a closer look at the White Rabbit.

The side of the egg includes the Doorknob, cards, and gears shaped like Mickey.

The gears of the clock can be seen well from the back. The Cheshire Cat is also back here.

The egg to the left is a “Bambi” themed egg.

The back features a beautifully drawn Bambi, Thumper and Flower.

I have never seen “My Neighbor Totoro”, though it occasionally occurs to me that I should.

Ariel says that the film was one she enjoyed watching when she was a child.

The Main Street Electrical Parade is another gorgeous display. The egg in the center lights up, and is flanked by Elliott and the turtle.

Mary Rose said she visited the parks as a child with her father and they always watched the Main Street Electrical Parade from the train station at midnight.

Next is Winnie the Pooh.

Justine says that all of her eggs have a book theme.

The last egg is one that is in progress. We didn’t see the artist in action, but he designed The Avengers egg.

There are so many characters on this egg! Mickey, Fairy Godmother, Elsa, Flynn Rider, Cinderella, Jiminy Cricket…they just keep going around the egg.

John has been with Disney for 31 years. He created the egg display for The Avengers. He studied art in France and makes exquisitely designed eggs!

The main floral display at Disney’s Grand Floridian now resembles an Easter basket. I will post more about it tomorrow.

I posted yesterday about The Grand Cottage, with the menu and treats. The Grand Cottage will be open through April 10th, 2023.

Thank you to all the talented Cast Members for sharing these incredible eggs!
