EPCOT Construction Update from February 22nd, 2023 Including Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana

Hi everyone!

I took the monorail from the Magic Kingdom to EPCOT yesterday and have photos of construction, including of the area that will be Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana as well as CommuniCore Hall.

First, the area near Guest Relations really hasn’t changed since my last time on the monorail.

While traveling through EPCOT, some of the EPCOT International Flower & Garden topiaries and flowers can be seen. Donald and Daisy are near Connections Eatery.

The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will be held from March 1st through July 5th, 2023.

The first flower quilt is in view here, along with the construction in the distance.

A lot of work was being done on CommuniCore Hall.

Dreamer’s Point will eventually be ahead.

The main flower quilt for EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is filling in, with construction seen here.

Here is a look at the CommuniCore Plaza area.

And now we are heading toward Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana.

Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is scheduled to open later this year.

This area looks really nice so far.

The location already looks quite lush.

It is nice to see so much work going on, I can’t wait until it is all fully open and we can walk through this section of EPCOT again. And the monorail is great for those EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival views!

  • The new festival center is a failed design.
