40 Photos of the Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Queue at Disneyland (Plus Ride, Queue Video)
Hi everyone!
During the #Disney100 media event at the Disneyland Resort today, we had the opportunity to preview Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Mickey’s Toontown, situated in the El CapiTOON theater. While the ride is very similar to the attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the Walt Disney World Resort, the queue is completely different and so rich in detail.
I wanted to give a quick look today in almost 40 photos plus our video of the queue. I have hundreds of photos unused so far (and we will be back in the queue again tomorrow). If you’d like a longer article of photos, please let me know! Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway opens officially on Friday, January 27th, 2023. The reimagined Mickey’s Toontown will open fully later, on March 8th, 2023.
Here are photos and video from today!
Here is our video of the queue and ride.
The marquee outside says “The Grand World Prem-EAR!”
Mickey and Minnie star in “Perfect Picnic”.
Here is a look at the Stand-By Entry sign.
The queue is extensive.
The trash cans note the El CapiTOON theater name.
There are movie posters throughout, including “Toonsies”, the musical.
“Mickey, I Shrunk the Nieces”.
“High School Goofical 3”.
Walt Disney’s “The Scroogiest Millionaire”.
A standee features “Perfect Picnic”, with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Chuube.
“The Mouseketeer”.
Now it’s time for “Mickey Through the Ears”.
“It was All Started by a Mouse…”.
There is a history of Toontown’s Hometown Theater. I mentioned earlier that hundreds of photos couldn’t capture everything, I have a dozen or more just of this.
There is information on the El CapiTOON theater.
More posters line the walls. There are a lot!
The Steamboat helm is here.
Sorcerer Mickey as well.
There are “Plane Crazy” props.
A “Lonesome Ghosts” phone.
As we move through the years, Mickey Mouse is doing his disco best.
Mickey’s Christmas Carol is also included, with Bob Cratchit’s desk.
A Mummy Box.
There is a Concessions Stand that looks totally real!
We were told it is possible we may see some of the candy items sold.
The signs are fun.
More snacks featured include “Laugh-O-Grahams”.
The ketchup and catsup have their own canisters (and drippings).
“Your Cheese” and “Nacho Cheese”. 🙂
That is a look in almost 40 photos of just some of the queue for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Want to see more? Let me know!
