Wine Bar George Now Open at Orlando International Airport
Hi everyone!
Wine Bar George has opened at Orlando International Airport in Terminal C. This is the second location for Wine Bar George, after opening its extremely successful Disney Springs location in 2018. Read below for more information, and check out the online menu! Some of my favorite food and drink items from Wine Bar George are there.
ORLANDO, FL. – Wine Bar George’s second location is now open at Orlando’s International Airport in Terminal C. Alongside Master ConcessionAir, Master Sommelier George Miliotes brings his renowned wine expertise to OIA.
Guests can expect to enjoy a similar experience to Wine Bar George at Disney Springs. The second location offers 75 wines all available by the glass, the bottle and the ounce. The list will offer a selection of wines from around the world including some of the finest in the Outstanding by the Ounce section.
“In our new location we will have the same level of service that our guests have come to know and expect at Wine Bar George at Disney Springs,” Miliotes said. “Guests interested in learning about and trying new wines will still be able to do so in the airport location. Whether you want to enjoy a Frosé or a couple of ounces of the greatest wines in the world before your flight, we’ll have something for everyone.
The list features wines from acclaimed and well-known wineries as well as growing regions and wineries that are up-and-coming. The onsite team is wine knowledgeable and trained by Miliotes personally. Guests can expect the same level of service and experience that is offered today in their current Disney Springs location.
“The list includes more than 30 varietals from regions around the world. We use the Coravin, the Wineemotion system and wine on tap to ensure each wine is enjoyed to its fullest extent,” Miliotes said. “The onsite team will adeptly pair a range of small plates, cheese and charcuterie and entrees with each wine. If you are looking for a glass of wine on tap or a few ounces of Tignanello, we have wines for you to enjoy. Cocktails, such as our beloved Wake Up Call, frozen beverages and a selection of beers will be available as well.”
Guests have the opportunity to explore endless food and wine pairings at Wine Bar George at OIA. Ron Rupert, Director of Culinary Development for Wine Bar George, and Miliotes have worked closely to create a menu that pairs with the extensive wine list.
“Our menu will feature both familiar items and new offerings suitable for the airport location,” Rupert said. “We will offer breakfast, small plates, cheese and charcuterie and entrees. Guest favorites such as our chicken salad sandwich and house-made meatballs will be offered, as well as new items such as prosecco and white cheddar dip and a beef tenderloin sandwich with bacon jalapeño jam.”
The 30-seat wine bar joins an extensive group of dining and shopping in OIA’s newest terminal. The design for the space is a fully open expression. Guests are invited to join the social experience at the long bar that wraps with a central wine display feature. The open design exposes the theater of the bar to the central court which allows for patrons to enjoy the airy space.
