Photos of Gingerbread Giraffe and Zebra at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge for 2022 Holiday Season
Hi everyone!
I was at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Tuesday to participate in making an ostrich egg ornament, and also checked out the gingerbread display. Last year, the resort began a new tradition of a Ginger-affe, and in 2022 they added Debra the Zebra foal. The display can be found in the Jambo House lobby. Here are photos from Tuesday!
The gingerbread duo make a unique and beautiful gingerbread offering. I did not see an ingredient list for them.
Here is a look at the giraffe’s face.
And here is a closer look at Debra the zebra foal.
From the side, you can see her mane.
And below her, a Mickey.
The sign says that “This display is brought to you by approximately 52,256 honey bees pollinating nearly 84 million flowers on crops such as apples, cranberries, coffee and avocados to produce the 42 pounds of honey used. One honey bee visits about 225,000 flowers in a single day”.
The display was created by Pastry Chef Lexy Ross (I believe she worked on the display at Disney’s Contemporary Resort previously) and the Animal Kingdom Lodge Bakery Team.
We also picked up a Gingeraffe gingerbread cookie with milk chocolate-buttercream filling. While we were in the lobby, a cart was rolled out that sold the cookies plus hot chocolate and other beverages (it opened at 4:00 p.m.).
The menu for the Gingeraffe also includes bottled beer and wine.
The Christmas tree in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is always a favorite of mine.
The pastry team at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge did such a wonderful job on the display!
