Disney Character Surprise Meet and Greets Return at EPCOT (Photos, Video)

Hi everyone!

Traditional Disney character meet and greets returned to Walt Disney World on April 18th, and while at EPCOT yesterday we found that surprise meet and greets had returned as well. While walking to a concert at the American Gardens Theater, we saw a number of characters – Gideon, Pinocchio, Tigger, Mr. Smee and Gepetto visiting with guests in the pop-up meet and greet. Here are photos and video from yesterday!

This is one of the last photos I took, to give an idea on where you might find the pop-up. There is no set days/times for these meet and greet opportunities.

The surprise meet and greet location was near Regal Eagle Smokehouse (behind Joffrey’s). This has been a usual location for pop-up meets as well as at World Showplace. There were not too many guests here, so we quickly met a few characters before it ended. Gepetto was first.

Some of the characters are rare for Walt Disney World as far as meet and greets.

Across the way, we met up with Gideon.

We were just there for a few minutes before it was time for the characters to head offstage, including Mr. Smee.

It was fun to find the surprise meet and greet yesterday!
