Traditional Disney Character Meet and Greets Returning to Domestic Parks, Resorts and Disney Cruise Line Starting April 18th
Hi everyone!
Disney announced officially today that as early as April 18th, it will start reintroducing traditional character meet and greets at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, aboard the Disney Cruise Line and at Aulani Resort in Hawaii. Guests will be able to get autographs and hugs from characters, just as they can now at Disneyland Paris.
Disney shared this video along with the announcement from Shawn Slater on the Disney Parks Blog. Read below for that announcement! Not all meet and greets will return at the same time.
From the Disney Parks Blog:
During the past two years, we’ve taken a very gradual, intentional approach to health and safety protocols. Recent trends and guidance have provided opportunities for us to bring back some of our most beloved magic, like character greetings and dining experiences. While not all locations will be available immediately, we anticipate reopening in phases throughout the spring and early summer.
