Celebrate Artisanal Gelato Day at EPCOT’s Gelateria Toscana on March 24th
Hi everyone!
Artisanal Gelato Day is celebrated on March 24th in Europe, and we were invited to EPCOT’s Gelateria Toscana a few days early to sample a few of the treats. The day was established in 2013. It has been almost a year since Gelateria Toscana opened in the Italy pavilion. The location serves up more than just gelato – you can also find pastries, soft drinks and other beverages including Italian coffee. It was 90 degrees out while we were at EPCOT and the gelato was very welcome, as were the white and red sangrias. Here is a look at what we tried with current prices.
Gelati in a cup
Two Scoops of Italian Ice Cream in a Cup. Choice of Chocolate, Vanilla, Pistachio, Cookies & Cream, Stracciatella, Amerena Cherry – $7.95. We had the pistachio and vanilla gelato. The gelato is now made at Space 220, not Vivoli il Gelato.
Frozen Red Sangria –$11.00
Everything we had was delicious. There are also other gelato creations including floats, as well as desserts like cannoli and tiramisù. While we were invited on this day to talk about Artisanal Gelato Day, we do stop here on our own occasionally as well (especially in the heat of summer).
Stop by Gelateria Toscana on Artisanal Gelato Day or any day!
