Paddlefish Offering Secret Lunch Pairing Promotion Starting February 28th, 2022 (Our Preview/Review)

Hi everyone!

Starting on February 28th, 2022, Paddlefish at Disney Springs will be offering a secret lunch pairing promotion – these specials won’t be on the menu, anyone interested in taking advantage of the offer must mention it to the server. The lunch pairings will be available Monday through Friday from 12pm to 3pm. We were invited to try out the lunch last week. Here is our experience!

We dined outside, but here is a look at one of the indoor spaces. My first time dining at this location was when it was the Empress Lilly (about 40 years ago) and then after it became Fulton’s, and also since it became Paddlefish in early 2017. It has lovely indoor and outdoor spaces.

Here is a look at one of the tables.

We had a nice view of the waterfront from our table.

Here are the special lunch pairings.  The items we ordered are on the menu separately, but you will need to ask for the special pairing. They are:

The Burger – Pair with Paddlefish Lager $25.00

Stuffed Cod – Pair with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc $38.00

Kids Cheeseburger – Pair with a kids size Strawberry Basil Lemonade $12.00

I ordered The Burger and it came with house made chips.

The Burger is 9 ounce proprietary blend with house-made pickles, red onion, pimento cheese on a brioche bun. There was quite a bit of cheese. The burger was delicious, I have not had a burger here previously and I was pleasantly surprised.

The Burger pairs with the Paddlefish Lager, and the Stuffed Cod comes with Sauvignon Blanc (Fire Road, Marlborough). The lager is brewed at Proof Brewing Company in Tallahassee. The Fire Road Sauvignon Blanc is really a very refreshing wine.

The Stuffed Cod includes shrimp and scallop cornbread stuffing, a twist on the recipe that Chef Steven Richard’s grandfather would make. Jeff said that the stuffing really “made” the dish. There is also asparagus, red potato and mustard cream sauce.

Here is a look at the Fire Road bottle. The manager told us about Fire Road Vineyards and that it was named after a real fire that happened – hence the look of the bottle as well.

Not included in the pairings is dessert, but we were brought two signature items. The first is a New York-Style Cheesecake with a Farm-fresh strawberry compote, made in-house as is the next dessert. Paddlefish found someone who is an excellent at creating desserts and the restaurant sometimes offers seasonal creations (like a red velvet dessert on Valentine’s Day, I am sorry now we missed it). Follow Paddlefish on Instagram for the latest!

The Key Lime Pie is also fantastic. I don’t order a lot of key lime pie because it can be a bit tart, but this was mild. And the large amount of meringue meant a spoonful in every bite.

You may find some birds watching while you dine.

Here is another view from near our table.

Paddlefish invited us out so we would talk about these special pairings – ask your server about them next time you visit Paddlefish starting February 28th, Monday through Friday from 12pm to 3pm.

Thank you to Paddlefish for having us out! All views are ours, the meals were complimentary except for the gratuity.
