Peppa Pig Theme Park Set to Open February 24th, 2022 – Our Experience at Preview (Photos, Video)
Hi everyone!
We were invited to preview Peppa Pig Theme Park, which officially opens on February 24th, 2022. The new park is located at the LEGOLAND Florida Resort in Winter Haven. What I was impressed with at Peppa Pig Theme Park is that adults and kids can enjoy the attractions together. Here is a look at our experience in photos and video!
There is a large archway into the park.
Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster wasn’t our first ride, but it was my favorite (we are two adults, no kids). This is a great first roller coaster for kids but it’s also fun for adults too.
Here is our video of Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster – it includes 3 full rides from front and back.
The minimum rider height is 36 inches. Guests less than 42 inches must be accompanied by a responsible rider 14 years of age or older.
Granddad Dog’s Pirate Boat Ride is cute, there is no minimum height requirement but guests less than 43 inches or under 4 years old must be accompanied by a responsible rider 14 years of age or older.
Here is our video of Grandad Dog’s Pirate Boat Ride.
I think little kids will enjoy this one.
Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Adventure is entertaining and longer than I expected. Minimum rider height is 34 inches. Guests less than 43 inches must be accompanied by a responsible rider 14 years of age or older.
Here is our video of Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Adventure.
Kids who love dinosaurs will get a kick out of the ride.
The track moves around a handful of dinosaurs.
Peppa’s Balloon Ride is next.
Here is our video of the ride.
The balloons go up in the air and you get a nice view of the theme park (and the parking lot). There is no minimum height requirement. Guests less than 51 inches must be accompanied by a responsible rider 14 years of age or older.
Here is a view in one direction.
We watched a show that included Peppa and George, and they met afterwards.
Daddy and Mummy Pig also met guests.
Here is our video of the meet and greets.
There are a few aspects of the park that could be challenging. The main one is that there isn’t much shade. I hope that trees will be planted or a canopy built.
To cool off, there is a large Muddy Puddles Splash Pad. No mud, all puddles!
There is also plenty of sand and buckets.
We sampled some items from Miss Rabbit’s Diner.
The counter service location is pretty large and nicely themed.
We didn’t try everything, samples were snapped up as soon as they were put out. But from what I tried here, the Smoked Beef Brisket was my favorite – it has a nice flavor. The pizza was okay, I didn’t care as much for the sample of the Rice & Veggie Bowl with Chicken. When we visit the LEGOLAND Resort, more often than not we head to the LEGOLAND Hotel for food – but if I ate at Peppa Pig Theme Park, I’d go with the brisket.
The Muddy Puddle Milkshake I tried was pretty thin (like a thicker chocolate milk) and the cookie was just average. I don’t know if that will be the same way once the park opens. There were other samples on this platter that I didn’t try.
Granny Pig’s Garden is very nice. There is a playground and a maze. The characters like Granny Pig here occasionally talk.
There really is quite a bit for young kids here.
This is a cute first maze for kids.
There is a Cinema with episodes of Peppa Pig on the screen.
Just like at the outdoor show, there are large beanbags to sit on while watching.
Mr. Fox’s Shop includes a variety of merchandise, including plush and books.
And one of the other things to do is George’s Tricycle Trail. There are still some other things for kids and one ride that we didn’t do (Mr. Bull’s High Striker).
I used the word “cute” a number of times. Peppa Pig Theme Park is a nice, cute park for families. It’s not a major theme park, it isn’t priced like one either. Daddy Pig’s Coaster is great fun, more than I expected it (it didn’t feel like a “first coaster”). As a kid, I would have loved visiting – between the rides, the splash pad, the show and more. Peppa Pig Theme Park is a terrific addition to the LEGOLAND Resort. If you are looking for a larger park, it is right next door – LEGOLAND is a beautiful and historic park, originally Cypress Gardens. LEGOLAND now has several hotels and with Peppa Pig Theme Park, the resort keeps expanding and giving guests more entertainment value. Check out the Peppa Pig Theme Park website for information, including tickets (separate and combo), annual passes and vacation packages.
