“Disney Illuminations” Photos During Technical Rehearsal in Advance of December 21st Return at Disneyland Paris
Hi everyone!
“Disney Illuminations” at Disneyland Paris is scheduled to return on December 21st, 2021. Capping off the Disney InsidEars holiday event yesterday, there was a technical rehearsal. We were invited to the event and our friend Rony from DLPLicious covered it for us, and took these photos. This is the first time the show has been performed since March 2020.
Sleeping Beauty Castle looks beautiful at night after its year-long refurbishment. The fountains also have restarted since our visit a few weeks ago.
Disneyland Paris says of the show, Warm your heart with characters from Frozen, relive the eternal story of The Lion King, and be transported by the epic soundtracks of Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean!
The show includes pyro, projections and fountains. It is a beautiful combination. During our last viewing a couple of years ago, we had special Infinity pass seating and a perfect view. I look forward to seeing it again.
More from Disneyland Paris about the show:
The magic of Disneyland Paris will shine brightly with the return of Disney Illuminations. This show features state-of-the-art technology and incorporates sounds, lights, projections, fountains and breathtaking pyrotechnic effects. Every night, against the backdrop of the Castle, Mickey takes guests on a captivating journey, following in the footsteps of heroes from animated masterpieces. He transports the audience to a dimension where the stories of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Little Mermaid and Frozen as well as Disney and Pixar’s, Finding Nemo come to life. Guests will also witness an incredible naval battle featuring the Black Pearl, the legendary ship of Captain Jack Sparrow followed by a sequence of “live action images” featuring the Millennium Falcon, TIE Fighters and Stormtroopers that will delight Star Wars fans.
I always enjoy the pinwheel fireworks.
Rony took a photo looking down an empty Main Street U.S.A. toward the Christmas tree. Gorgeous! We enjoyed so much visiting for the holidays this year with the new Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade as the wonderful centerpiece to the season.
Thank you to Rony for the great photos and covering the event for us!
