Book Review: “Pomp, Snow & CIRQUEumstance” by Neil Goldberg and Niko Nickolaou
Hi everyone!
We received Book Review: Pomp, Snow & CIRQUEumstance to review. It is a hardcover book as per the publisher, I received an earlier soft color preview version. The book just released on December 7th, 2021 and is from Neil Goldberg, creator of the Cirque Dreams entertainment brand and Niko Nickolauou, who is Senior Director Special Events for Gaylord Hotels. Goldberg has created memorable entertainment for Gaylord Hotels since he debuted “Cirque Dreams: Unwrapped” at Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee five years ago, which was a big part of the expanded offerings for Christmas at Gaylord Palms (which I highly recommend).
Pomp, Snow & CIRQUEumstance are the names of three best friends, elves waiting for graduation day. They study “festive arts” including holiday magic and circus skills. Santa gives them diplomas so they can begin their careers. That includes Pomp leading a Christmas parade and Snow getting the sky ready for Santa. On the last page, there is a “Just for fun” with items to go look for in the story. This unique and delightful 48-page book is whimsically illustrated by John Kelly.
The Pomp, Snow & CIRQUEumstance website gives insight into the elves, and into the original story. The characters really have a Cirque Dreams feel to them and you can see that in the video on the site as well.
From the publisher: Experience an exciting and magical Holiday story with three best friends, Pomp, Snow, and Cirqueumstance, as they study and learn special music, magic & circus skills at a secret university. After receiving their diplomas from Santa, the three fantastical elves share their special gifts with the world, and learn a valuable lesson in humility and service to others.
