Mickey Mouse Again Greeting at Town Square Theater in the Magic Kingdom (Photos, Video)
Hi everyone!
We stopped by Town Square Theater yesterday to check out the new Backstage Magic with Mickey Mouse “character sighting”. The term is now used by Disney as regular meet and greets have not restarted. This is pretty close, though and it was nice to be back in Town Square Theater. Here are photos and video from yesterday!
First, our video.
The character sightings officially start in November, we were told the hours would be longer for Mickey then. We arrived at just before 5:00pm and I think we were the last to go through.
We don’t see a lot of “0” minute waits.
The queue is set up for longer wait times. Tinker Bell has not returned yet to Town Square Theater.
This projection on the ground welcomes guests as they enter the room.
Mickey is on the other side of this rope. Guests can stand along the rope for photos.
Mickey is in his EARidescent costume. His vanity in the background also is themed to Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”.
In the background is the same design as the projection on the ground, including Cinderella Castle.
The cards also have the same design.
The doves and magician’s hat on the vanity keep with the magician theme. There are rings to the left side.
Mickey also wears a 50th anniversary brooch.
Cinderella Castle with fireworks takes up a large part of his jacket.
Above him are items including a crystal ball from “Leota’s crystals”.
It was nice to see Mickey back in Town Square Theater again yesterday!
We will share more character sightings in the coming weeks!
