Disneyland Halloween Time Offers Abundance of Disney Characters (Photos, Video)
Goofy is in his ghostly looking costume as he stood next to Dopey. There are characters in Halloween costumes and some not (like Oswald, Anna and Elsa aren’t).
Mickey wears his bat cape.
Donald is always cute in his devil costume.
At Plaza de la Familia in Disney California Adventure, “A Musical Celebration of Coco” is presented a number of times per day and includes Miguel and his puppeteer (who are here at a distanced meet and greet after the show).
Here is our video of “A Musical Celebration of Coco”.
We went through Cars Land a number of times during our trip but I somehow just kept seeing Vampire Mater and not so much the other cars.
Jeff poses with Mater.
The Oogie Boogie Bash after-hours event offers a variety of different characters and costumes. That includes Oogie Boogie in this treat trail.
Here is our video of Oogie Boogie.
Mad Hatter also is on a treat trail.
Agatha from WandaVision appears in the Ancient Sanctum. This is also a treat trail.
She made her character debut at the party, as did live-action Cruella and Sid from Toy Story.
Here is our video of Agatha.
Hades, Pain and Panic were out at the fountain near Carthay Circle.
This location has characters much of the day.
Mickey and Minnie pose in special outfits with the Incredicoaster and Pixar Pal-A-Round in the distance.
Here is our video of Mickey and Minnie.
The “Frightfully Fun Parade” is the first full parade I’ve seen since “Magic Happens” in March, 2020. It was wonderful to see a full parade again! We watched it twice. The Headless Horseman appears at the beginning.
Here is our full video of the “Frightfully Fun Parade”.
The Hitchhiking Ghosts are in the Haunted Mansion segment.
The caretaker is also part of the segment.
Ursula passes by.
Jack and Sally’s float had broken down and was being towed (it was the second time we’ve seen this happen – once also at Disneyland).
Sid was on Pixar Pier.
Here is our video of Sid.
Live-action Cruella was fantastic. She also was part of a treat trail. And the treat trails didn’t just have candy, but Sun Chips, grapes, carrots, pretzels and more.
Here is our video of Cruella.
Mickey and Minnie are part of Mickey’s Trick & Treat show.
Mickey’s bow is a bat.
Donald is a werewolf and Goofy a mummy.
Here is our video of Mickey’s Trick & Treat.
Outside, Cinderella was with Lady Tremaine.
Maleficent is on a treat trail. Spindles are below.
She performs and greets guests.
Here is our video of Maleficent.
Evil Queen is on a treat trail. The props near her were apples.
Here is our video of the Evil Queen.
Dr. Facilier also appears on a treat trail.
I found Sheriff of Nottingham toward the end of the night.
Megara was greeting where we’d found Hades earlier.
Our Halloween trip was incredible – not just for characters, but they were a fun part of it.
If Disneyland has similar Halloween offerings next year, I hope to make it back for Halloween Time. This wasn’t our first Halloween trip, I love the season at Disneyland. But Disneyland was closed so long and I was very surprised how quickly they got back up to mostly normal. There was a full Frightfully Fun Parade at Oogie Boogie Bash, Halloween Screams fireworks at Disneyland, Haunted Mansion Holiday and so much more. I highly recommend visiting for Halloween. My only regret was having just one night of Oogie Boogie Bash – I really wanted to visit Villains Grove and we didn’t get to it (next time, two nights!)
