TRON Construction Photos & Video at the Magic Kingdom from July 27th, 2021
Hi everyone!
I haven’t posted TRON Lightcycle Run construction photos since our trip to Paris last month. We spent the morning at the Magic Kingdom yesterday and there was a lot of work going on at the site, including a separate structure that has been rising since we first saw it last week. We are nearing almost a year since the first piece of canopy was installed on the project. Here are photos and video from yesterday!
Our video and photos are from both the People Mover and the Storybook Circus area.
Blue netting had started going up in early June and is now all over the canopy.
TRON Lightcycle Run is based on the attraction in Shanghai Disneyland.
The TRON canopy can be seen from so many locations, including on many angles from the People Mover.
We walked over to Storybook Circus, where the structure (left) was rising.
The Walt Disney World Railroad has been closed for almost three years during the construction, I can’t wait until that reopens in the future as well.
There is no opening date announced for TRON yet – it won’t be in time for the beginning of the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World but is expected to be during it (which won’t be hard considering the celebration lasts 18 months). I look forward to when 2 roller coasters will be in Tomorrowland side-by-side!
