Book Review: “5-Minute Disney Villains Stories”
Hi everyone!
I received “5-Minute Disney Villains Stories” to review. The book releases on July 13th, 2021 and is geared towards young kids. There are 208 pages with 12 stories that are designed to be told in about 5 minutes. Captain Hook, Cruella deVil and Maleficent are on the cover (in their animated forms).
Even though the book is about villains, those aren’t the only characters in the stories. For example, the “Queen of Frights” story features Alice, the Mad Hatter and also an appearance by March Hare as the Queen of Hearts threatens them (but the end of the story is happy). There is another Alice in Wonderland themed story that includes Cheshire Cat, White Rabbit and Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. There are three Peter Pan stories.
I like the 5-Minute Story books because they offer a lot of stories for bedtime. These are not classic tales but newer ones written for the books.
Kids who love villains stories may really enjoy the book – but the stories are villainous even with the other favorite Disney characters in them. They could be a little scary for some children. That said, there are a lot of different 5-Minute Stories books, including another recent one – 5-Minute Disney Furry Friends.
Other stories in “5-Minute Disney Villains Stories” include characters from The Little Mermaid, 101 Dalmatians and Sleeping Beauty.
