Scuba Mickey Appears at Epcot for World Oceans Day on June 8th, 2021 (Photos, Video)

Hi everyone!

Scuba diving Mickey Mouse surprised guests yesterday (June 8th, 2021) in The Seas with Nemo & Friends pavilion to celebrate World Oceans Day. He was waving to guests and posing for photos as fish and other sea life passed by him. We don’t see him doing this too often, I’m glad I was already planning to be at Epcot! Here is our video and a few photos.

On the UN website it says, The concept of a ‘World Oceans Day’ was first proposed in 1992 at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro as a way to celebrate our world’s shared ocean and our personal connection to the sea, as well as to raise awareness about the crucial role the ocean plays in our lives and the important ways people can help protect it.

Seeing Mickey at The Seas with Nemo & Friends was really fun yesterday! I hope we will see him back again soon. I don’t make my way into The Seas with Nemo & Friends too often and will have to change that – seeing the sea turtles, fish and other sea life was very relaxing and enjoyable.
