Main Street Confectionery Closing for Refurbishment, Disney Shares More Information
Hi everyone!
The Disney Parks Blog shared a few insights into the changes coming to the Main Street Confectionery – the location will be closing after Sunday, March 28th for a refurbishment as it receives an expanded layout as part of the changes. And while the Main Street Confectionery and The Chapeau are closed, there is a lot of shifting that is going on if you are looking for treats, hats and/or art and collectibles. Read more below!

The very popular candy and treat location (it often has lines at the end of the evening) will have a “fresh new look, expanded layout with more room to shop and interactive opportunities to customize your confections like never before” when it is complete.
During the time the Main Street Confectionery and The Chapeau are closed for refurbishment, the Main Street Cinema will serve as a temporary location for confections and some items will be sold in The Emporium. Box Office Gifts at the Town Square Theater will sell the hats and ears, and Bonjour! Village Gifts already is selling the art and collectibles as of a few days ago that had been in the Main Street Cinema.
In addition, we have been posting photos of Cinderella Castle as it is transformed for the 50th anniversary, The World’s Most Magical Celebration. Disney shares that there are other updates happening like “shimmering gold leaf” being added to Fantasyland attractions and more.
