Disneyland Paris Shares Video Interview Featuring David Duffy, Vice President of Entertainment
Hi everyone!
Disneyland Paris shared this fun (and quick, 3 minute) Magic Keepers video interview featuring David Duffy, who is now Vice President of Entertainment at Disneyland Paris. David has a nearly 30-year career with Disney Live Entertainment, including being Creative Director for the wonderful “Magic Happens” parade at Disneyland in 2020 (I was fortunate to see it in person). He is now in charge of the production, creation and costuming of the shows as well as the operational teams at Disneyland Paris.
This is a quick introduction video of sorts for him, where he talks about where he has developed shows and activities (Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line and Aulani). He talks about inspiration, a few of his favorite shows, including “Mickey and the Magician” from Walt Disney Studios Park – he mentions the storytelling and design along with the “execution by the performers” as a reason the show has stuck with him. He also discusses a favorite moment in a Disney film and how it relates to our personal and work lives.
I look forward to see what he creates at Disneyland Paris, which already has many of my favorite shows and parades at the Disney parks. The seasonal entertainment is the biggest pull for us to keep visiting year after year.
