Book Review: “Summer Adventure for Groot” is a Fun Addition to Rocket and Groot Series
Hi everyone!
“Summer Adventure for Groot” is scheduled to release on April 6th, 2021, the fourth book in a series that includes “First Day of Groot!” and “Snow Day for Groot!“. If you have any of the books, you will know what to expect. The books are written with gentle humor and rhyming by Brendan Deneen and are beautifully illustrated by Cale Atkinson. The suggested age is 3-5 years old.
The official information on “Summer Adventure for Groot“: It’s finally summertime! The Guardians of the Galaxy are off on a trip to map the cosmos with plans to see as much as possible in one day. From surfing the waves of Zenn-La and riding a tandem bike on Morag to playing hide-and-seek in Asgard and enjoying a dazzling display of fireworks on Xandar, Rocket and Groot are determined to enjoy all the best activities that summer in space has to offer! Young readers will be inspired to create their own to-do list for the ultimate summer adventure.
“Summer Adventure for Groot” is a 32-page hardcover book like the others in the series.
“Summer Adventure for Groot” features young Groot and Rocket enjoying a summer day in space with Star-Lord, Gamora and other Marvel characters . Groot and Rocket are always the main characters of the books but “Summer Adventure for Groot” includes Guardians of the Galaxy characters quite a bit in the way that “Snow Day for Groot!” also features Spider-Man.
Groot and Rocket map out their travels ahead of time, including a beach day, a bike ride, hide and seek with Loki on Asgard and exploring Mars. I mentioned earlier that the text rhymes – one page says, “Asgardians love to play hide-and-seek. Be careful with Loki – he tends to peek!”
“Summer Adventure for Groot” is a fun fourth installment of the series. The books are a great way to introduce Marvel characters to young kids – and adults will enjoy them too as they see references to Marvel.
