Big Blue Pool, Front Entrance Refurbishment Updates at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (February 16th, 2021)

Hi everyone!

The Big Blue Pool at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort has been under refurbishment for about a month now and is scheduled to be until early April 2021. In addition, the front of the resort has the character artwork fully removed as that area is refurbished as well. Here is a look from yesterday!

The Big Blue Pool is the feature pool at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. It is one of three pools – the other two are open, the Flippin’ Fins Pool and the Cozy Cone Pool (my personal favorite). Also, the Schoolyard Sprayground is open.

Various icons in the pool area are wrapped.

The pool is drained.

There are pool closed signs out front.

In front of the resort, there is a “Please Pardon our Pixie Dust” sign.

All three of the characters – Ariel, Lightning McQueen and Nemo – are currently wiped away.

It looked like they were cleaning the areas where the artwork was. I assume the art will be the same upon returning.

This is what the front of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort usually looks like and has since it opened in 2012.

We will be back at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort at some point in the coming weeks and will bring any more updates!
