Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival 2021 Prep Begins

The Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival begins on March 3rd and is scheduled to run through July 5th, 2021. Today we were at Epcot and some preparation has begun for the event. The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is my favorite of the Epcot festivals and this is my 15th year posting photo articles on it. Here is a look at the first prep from today!

I noticed a couple of days ago that the butterfly floral at the International Gateway had been replanted.

Usually there are bright colors in the butterfly and I expect we will see some late winter flowers popping up in there soon.

The Goodness Garden Butterfly House is again being built near The Land pavilion.

And the main flower quilt is marked, so it won’t be long until we see it planted. It needs a couple of weeks or more to grow in before the festival. The smaller flower quilt always is planted after. You can see my 125 photos posted in an article from 2020 here. The event was cut very short due to the pandemic closure.

Once the two flower quilts are planted, we will see gardens and topiaries starting to be added! I can’t wait to enjoy my favorite event of the year. Epcot is never more beautiful than during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.  And while it does have “Taste of” in front of it, there will still be plenty of topiaries, gardens, Outdoor Kitchens and more.
