Disney’s Grand Floridian Walkway and Magic Kingdom Boat Dock Progress Update From November 14th, 2020
Hi everyone!
The Grand Floridian walkway to the Magic Kingdom is still in progress, I keep hoping for an opening and hopefully that will happen soon. Yesterday we were on the monorail loop and I took some photos of the path, as well as the upcoming Magic Kingdom Resort Launch boat dock and a couple of photos of the TRON canopy. Here are my photos from yesterday!
This section of the Grand Floridian path has looked mostly done for a while. What a beautiful day with Cinderella Castle and Space Mountain in view!
Disney’s Contemporary Resort is in the background here.
There were a lot of cones out on the other side of the bridge. The palm trees look nice here too.
The walkway views are something I am really looking forward to, and just the walk itself.
Here are the cones I mentioned.
The walkway looks pretty much finished most of the way.
There is still some work going on here.
And we are heading into the monorail station and will be looking at the boat dock a few photos down.
The Resort Launch boat dock also looks just about complete.
There was no work being done on either project as we passed by yesterday.
And from the monorail, we could see some of the TRON canopy. This looks very different than when we were in the Magic Kingdom for the first day of the holiday season.
We don’t know when TRON will open, it was originally scheduled for the 2021 50th anniversary kickoff but we’ll see.
We didn’t go to the Magic Kingdom, but here is a view of the entrance.
Today I am posting articles from the resorts (yesterday I posted the decorations at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort). We have been really busy with non-Disney locations the last few days but it was nice to spend a few hours picking up lunch, some gingerbread at Disney’s Contemporary Resort (that is my next article) and a few items from the Trader Sam’s collection at Disney’s Polynesian village Resort.
