Disney’s Contemporary Resort Offering Gingerbread Kit, Familiar Holiday Treats for 2020 Season

Disney’s Contemporary Resort usually has a Cinderella-themed gingerbread display for guests to enjoy during the holiday season. While that won’t happen this year, Chef Jeff Barnes and his talented team have created some of their most popular holiday treats to sell at Contempo Cafe! This includes a Build-Your-Own Gingerbread Kit of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, complete with monorail.

There has been a stand outside of Contempo Cafe showing treats for quite some time. It is really helpful to know what to order.

We picked up the Chocolate-Peppermint Cookie and a Gingerbread Boy. This cookie is heavy in chocolate and peppermint, really a nice item to split.

I haven’t tried the Chocolate-Peppermint Bark here yet.

These may be the two most popular items each year with guests. Chef Jeff has told me in the past that the Gingerbread Boy is a top selling item, and he always talks about the Linzer Cookie.

The Linzer Cookie is a hazelnut cookie filled with raspberry jam.

And back again this year is the Build-Your-Own Gingerbread Kit in the likeness of Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

I may pick this one up – I enjoy the gingerbread kits and this is also good gingerbread.

There are fun additions to it.

And on this side is the monorail!

There are also a couple of non-holiday cupcakes currently on display too.

The Cinderella Cupcake and Cookies ‘n Cream Cupcake are next to the holiday items. Display items can change!

And there is a Happy Holidays Cinderella pin for sale. Each year there are gingerbread house pins, but this year pins are themed to the resort only.

It is nice to see some familiar holiday items for sale this year!

None of the Walt Disney World resorts have their gingerbread displays up this year due to the pandemic, but Epcot is scheduled to have one – a Washington D.C. display normally in the American Adventure – at World Showplace beginning November 27th, 2020 during Taste of Epcot International Festival of the Holidays.
