Disney’s Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom Walkway Update 8/25/20

Hi everyone!

We rode the monorail on Tuesday and I took photos of the Grand Floridian walkway from the Magic Kingdom that is nearly complete. I have been hoping for a walkway almost since the resort opened and it will be nice being able to walk not only to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort but Disney’s Polynesian Resort and the TTC are also going to be reachable by foot. I haven’t taken photos in a while, we tend to opt for the ferry boat most of the time.

I also didn’t notice that there was a sign (to the left, in the photo) that now mentions the walkway. I will get that next week. Here are photos from Tuesday!

I photographed along the walkway, and it looks fairly finished with lights in this area.

 

Much of the walkway is landscaped and looks really nice.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is coming into view.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is being used for the NBA right now but some of it is open for guests, including the DVC Villas.

That is a quick baseline of current photos, I expect to take more next week but I look forward most to taking them when the walkway opens.
