Disney Honors Medical Workers Around the Globe for World Health Day
Hi everyone!
Disney is celebrating the amazing health care workers around the globe on World Health Day. This year, these heroes are on the front lines of a global pandemic. Disney says, “We are uniting across the globe with a message of thanks and appreciation to celebrate the brave healthcare providers who are helping so many”. Certainly this is a time that really hammers home the song “it’s a small world after all” as our whole world has to join together to combat COVD-19.
We were provided with photos and video to share from around the Disney parks, Disney Store, Aulani and Disney Cruise Line (Castaway Cay). I have some of the photos in the article, you can see them all in the video. The Disney Parks Blog has its own post as well.
At Disneyland Paris, a floral arrangement of “Merci” was displayed with Sleeping Beauty Castle in view (Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant).
The remainder of the captions are from Disney.
Cinderella Castle shined blue, as a beacon of hope and gratitude. Magic Kingdom cast members created their own moment of thanks on Main Street U.S.A.
At Disneyland Resort, Custodial cast members expressed their heartfelt gratitude at the “Storytellers” statue and at Paradise Gardens Park in Disney California Adventure.
At Castaway Cay, there was a special island appreciation shared from Disney Cruise Line, spelling the words “thank you” using flip flops.
As an expression of gratitude, our ohana at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa shared a heartfelt “mahalo” message.
Disney says that, “We’re reminded of a quote: “Every step we take, brings a new hope, a new day…” It’s from the Happily Ever After fireworks show at Walt Disney World Resort, and we hope it serves as an inspiration to you, as does for us, during this uncertain time.
