Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Photo Walk Including Disney’s Riviera Resort from February, 2020 (230+ Photos)

Continued from page 1

We are heading into Aruba.

There are bridges to walk to Old Port Royale from this side of Barefoot Bay – but if you are looking for a counter service location and are staying here, I recommend Primo Piatto at Disney’s Riviera Resort. And Topolino’s Terrace offers a terrific character breakfast (but you will want to reserve it ahead).

Aruba and Jamaica are on this side of Barefoot Bay.

The Disney Skyliner views are pretty here.

There is more beach with chairs and hammocks on this side as well.

The Disney Skyliner takes guests this entire length of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort over Aruba and Jamaica.

We are passing Building 55.

And we are just walking ahead on this side for a bit until we get to where we cross the road (and the water) to Trinidad South.

There is a bridge coming up ahead that will take guests to Old Port Royale or Barbados.

The view across the water.

Disney Skyliner gondolas pass overhead.

We are now heading into Jamaica.

There is a list of recreation and activities.

To the left is a bridge that will take you back to Old Port Royale.

The bridge also takes you to Caribbean Cay, which I will show later.

We are passing through Jamaica, which encompasses buildings 43-51.

The Disney Skyliner gondolas soar above Jamaica.

We pass Building 44 at 9:37 a.m.

The pool area for Jamaica is coming up on the right.

Each village has a quiet pool but the feature pool is at Old Port Royale and it is a pretty quick walk across the bridge I showed.

Old Port Royale across the water.

We are passing more of the Jamaica buildings.

Across the water now is Barbados (which used to be Trinidad North). Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is still a sprawling resort with a lot of buildings.

We are heading to Trinidad, which I still call Trinidad South.

The Disney Skyliner station is to the right and across the street. We are heading left.

Barbados, Trinidad and the Disney Skyliner are listed on the sign.

We are approaching this bridge at 9:41 a.m.

The bridge separates everything we just saw and then Trinidad and the Disney Skyliner.

To the left is Disney’s Riviera Resort, Old Port Royale and Barbados.

This is a closer look.

From the bridge, you can walk directly across to Trinidad or the Disney Skyliner – or, you can do what I usually do and go underneath.

If you head down to the left, there will be a walkway where you don’t need to cross the road. It probably takes an extra minute or so.

This is the walkway across otherwise.

We are walking down and to the left.

And down to the bridge.

The best part are the little smiling poles.

This is worth heading under the bridge for me! But if you have a stroller, wheelchair, scooter, etc., it may be a challenge to get through this area.

There is a second smiling pole and then to the right is the Disney Skyliner station.

The Disney Skyliner station for Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is very large and is a transfer point for several lines. I showed it earlier inside, and this is a view outside.

We are heading up to Trinidad, where you can find the Pirate themed rooms.

This area used to be very quiet  – with no restaurant, no Disney Skyliner and a decent walk to Old Port Royale (or internal bus). But it feels much more lively now. Still quieter than Old Port Royale but with more going on than before.

We are walking with Trinidad on the left and the Disney Skyliner on the right.

If you wanted a shorter walk, there were two bridges already to make a circle/oval for a shorter circuit. We are walking about 2 miles from Old Port Royale and around this way.

We are arriving at building 35 at 9:45 a.m.

Next up is Spyglass Grill.

The Spyglass Grill offers a nice variety of counter service food options and you can refill mugs there. It was really needed in this area, which went 30 years without its own counter location. I have not eaten here yet.

There is also some indoor seating.

We are passing the Skyglass Grill to walk to the end of Trinidad.

Spyglass Grill artwork on the building.

There isn’t too much left for Trinidad before we turn around and head back to Old Port Royale.

There is still a small beach here.

We are nearing the end of Trinidad.

The sidewalk stops up ahead. You can turn around or make a new path through buildings, which is what I’m doing.

We are just making a quick path through the last Trinidad buildings to show something a little different.

We are passing Building 39.

I am just taking a quick walk around Building 38.

And heading to the left.

I am walking through the hallway of building 38.

These are pirate themed rooms.

I thought the ice door had a fun design.

These rooms are up to a 10 minute walk from Old Port Royale, which makes that walk over to Spyglass or the Disney Skyliner very welcome.

We are walking out from the building, and the Disney Skyliner station is in view.

The small beach area offers some chairs to enjoy a day like this.

The Spyglass Grill will be back on the right side.

This is a very quick walk from those last buildings.

We are now heading toward Barbados and Old Port Royale.

Signage shows the way to those areas.

We are still walking through Trinidad.
