TRON Construction Update as Last Piece of Exterior Track Has Been Added (Photos, Video)
Hi everyone!
We were at the Magic Kingdom this morning and I noticed while on the Tomorrowland Speedway that the last piece of exterior track had been added to the TRON roller coaster. We also rode the Wedway People Mover to check it out a little closer. We’d been riding the Tomorrowland Speedway to take another look at holiday additions (for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party), it was a fun bonus to see the construction progressing!
TRON is supposed to open in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th in 2021. I have been visiting Walt Disney World since 1977 and look forward to the new attraction!

Here is a closer look from the Tomorrowland Speedway of the track.
Check out our video and then more photos:
I took similar photos yesterday, but there was still a missing piece.
Another look from this angle.
This is from the People Mover and I think we weren’t even close to it yet. The building is huge!
This is the view while passing the Tomorrowland Speedway on the left side.
And as we come up on the construction.
Construction workers were at the spot that it had been added.
It was fun to see a full “swoop” as opposed to most of one.
Up close on some of the track.
Here is the view as we head back past the Tomorrowland Speedway.
The construction really stands out past Space Mountain.
I am looking forward to having two great E-Ticket attractions in Tomorrowland.
And here you can see the Tomorrowland stage (now ready for Christmas), and TRON in the distance.
We will be in the Magic Kingdom a lot in the coming month, and I will update again sometime later in November!
