Ride Overlays for Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway & More Coming to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in 2019

We were celebrating “Christmas in July” with Disney yesterday as it was announced that there will be even more to look forward to at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year! It was announced in June that the fireworks show would be changing with a new name, “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks”. And some Magic Kingdom attractions will be enhanced at the party for the first time. Space Mountain won’t be dark like at other events, it will have lighting – and the Tomorrowland Speedway will have thousands of light and decor!

Shawn Slater at The Disney Parks Blog says about the rides, When you get behind the wheel on the Tomorrowland Speedway, you’ll find yourself cruising a festive freeway filled with thousands of lights and stylized décor. The crew at Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor is putting some “Ha Ha Ha” in their “Ho Ho Ho,” with a new show for everyone visiting the Monster World during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Space Mountain launches you on a trippy jaunt through the cosmos, filled with dazzling lighting and high-energy holiday tunes, and Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland becomes a wild and wacky Christmas party, as you spin your teacups to one of four new holiday combos of lights and music.

Back this year are “A Frozen Holiday Wish,” “Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration,” “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas,” Club Tinsel, the Disney Junior Jingle Jam and “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade”, along with the included treats, the Main Street snowfall and beautiful park ambience!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party runs on select nights from November 8th – December 22nd, 2019 and you can get tickets for the party now! Save $10.00 when you buy in advance.
