Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Details Announced for 2019 Including “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” New Fireworks Show

The Disney Parks Blog today gave more information about what to expect during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year. The Party nights starts in a month, on August 16th, 2019! There will be many returning favorite experiences but what I really look forward to most is the debut of a new fireworks/projection show called “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular.” We do have Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tips from last year, and many of those will be the same – I will write up a new article on August 17th, 2019! Here is some of what to expect at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, especially the new show.

Disney says about “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular”:  Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” serves as the host of this all-new nighttime extravaganza, with state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, lighting and dazzling fireworks filling the sky above Magic Kingdom Park. Jack has come to tell a not-so-scary story about how anything can happen on Halloween night. Jack’s ghost dog, Zero, then flies off carrying everyone along on a trick-or-treating adventure, where four friends – Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy – find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house. Their journey takes them from one room of the house to another, encountering dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts and a whole series of troublemaking Disney villains. “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” promises to be the perfect Halloween treat!

It sounds like a fantastic replacement for the longtime Happy HalloWishes!

Other attractions will also be enhanced, including the treat trail at Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor with a “comic cast of monsters”. Pirates of the Caribbean will include live pirates once again, Space Mountain will again be dark with a new soundtrack, and the Mad Tea Party will have special lighting. Those three attractions should be similar to last year’s party.

Returning favorites include “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular,” the ride of the Headless Horseman, “Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade,” Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball and “Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam,” with Fancy Nancy joining Disney Junior characters that include Vampirina and Doc McStuffins.

August – 16, 20, 23, 27 and 30

September – 2, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27 and 29

October – 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 29 and 31
