Review: Disney*Pixar “My First Bedtime Storybook”

I received Disney*Pixar My First Bedtime Storybook
First, I wasn’t sure when reading through the book who the target audience was. On Amazon it says preschool to kindergarten, ages 5-6. Yet at 5 years old, I was reading weightier books than this on my own, I wasn’t being read to anymore. So I would say that it would be appropriate as far as story size for ages 2-3, the stories are about 8-10 pages each with as little as a couple of lines on some pages. On the flip side, there are some concepts in the stories that won’t necessarily be on a 2-3 year old level, like about Lotso reprogamming Buzz. But these are likely to be familiar stories to most young children so they may understand.
The stories are bite-sized and will take just a couple of minutes to read each – another reason I would recommend it more for younger kids, early preschool age. I would have liked to see a little more text. The illustrations help move the story along.

Ratatouille
is a cute book and young kids should enjoy it, since it has many favorite Disney*Pixar characters.
