A Look at the Holidays at Universal Studios Hollywood 2018

Hi everyone!

We were invited to Universal Studios Hollywood to check out the holiday offerings in the park. Our Hollywood area reporter covered this for us. The two main areas of interest for the holidays are Christmas at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Grinchmas. Grinchmas is not every day in December, you can look at the calendar here – after December 14th, it will be each day through December 30th and the Christmas at Wizarding World of Harry Potter runs through January 6th, 2019.

I am a big fan of Grinchmas, and the Martha May Who-vier and the Who-Dolls show is really fun. It’s about 6 minutes long and even The Grinch shows up in his Santa outfit as they sing “The Man with the Bag”. Check out our video below.

The Grinchmas tree is a longtime staple of the holidays at Universal Hollywood. And there is a wonderful tree lighting here at dusk – the tree is 65 feet high! Our reporter was in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter for the lights, the park really comes alive at night at both locations.

There is a backdrop for guests to take a photo with.

By day, don’t miss the Holiday Frog Choir in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with Hogwarts Castle in view. This is a 10 minute show with live singing, and is well worth seeing and ends with “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”. Our video is below.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter includes a nightly snowfall as well as the beautiful projection show. We share some of the lights below in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter before the “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle” show. It is so impressive when watching it on Hogwarts Castle! Pick up a hot Butterbeer (my favorite after the frozen version) and take in this festive treat.
