Chef Rick Bayless to Debut his “Taste of Oaxaca” Menu at Frontera Cocina in Disney Springs on October 23rd, 2018

Chef Rick Bayless will be at his Frontera Cocina restaurant in Disney Springs tomorrow, October 23rd, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to debut his new limited time Oaxaca-inspired menu called Taste of Oaxaca. Bayless is winner of the prestigious James Beard Award seven times over since 1991, and has been nominated many more times through the years. Diners will enjoy meals personally prepared by Bayless and his team.

According to a press release, “This is Bayless’s third menu-roll out at Frontera Cocina in 2018. In July, he unveiled his Yucatán-inspired menu with dishes such as the Spicy Grilled Yucatán Swordfish and Mango Sorbet. Prior to that, in May, he released a menu inspired by Baja.” 

 

More from the release, Bayless says that “Sharing new dishes influenced by the beautiful country of Mexico is always a wonderful experience for me. I’m very passionate about expanding guests’ palates with a variety of regional flavors.”

 

Frontera Cocina is located in the Town Center at Disney Springs and has been a popular addition ever since opening, with an open kitchen and an outdoor patio, plus a to-go window with a limited menu and my favorite drink, the Blood Orange Jalapeño Margarita. I’ll mention here as well that Frontera Cocina will again host a celebration in honor of Dia de los Muertos from Nov. 1- 4 with $5 Day of the Dead Margaritas and $5 Modelo Especial Drafts. We’ve been there for Dia de Los Muertos previously and the restaurant has decorated and the atmosphere is really a fun one. Frontera Cocina also has drink specials during the week.

 

Bayless is known as Bravo TV’s Top Chef Master and host of the PBS series, “Mexico–One Plate at a Time.” He has written numerous cookbooks and created an award-winning line of salsas, cooking sauces and organic chips.
