Give Kids the World to Open Gates to Public for “Challenge for Hope” 5K Run on December 8th, 2018

On December 8th, 2018, Give Kids the World Village will open its gates to the public for the Challenge For Hope 5K Run that will take place from 7am – 9am. General registration is $35.00 per person ahead of time or $50.00 for registration on the day of. Give Kids the World celebrated 30 years in 2016, I have volunteered here many times over the past 15 or so years and we have partnered with them as media occasionally in recent years. Give Kids the World is a fantastic organization where children with life-threatening illnesses and their families can enjoy a cost-free vacation and there are so many fundraising opportunities now. Orlando, Fla. – October 19, 2018 – There’s excitement in the air as Give Kids The World Village prepares to open its gates. On December 8, 2018 the public will have a rare opportunity to see inside GKTW during its annual Challenge For Hope 5K Run taking place from 7 to 9 a.m.
Families, wish family alumni, volunteers and the public can walk, run, roll or stroll along a 5K course, while being immersed in the wonder, happiness and hope that happens every day in the Village. A highlight of the event is the opportunity to experience the seven themed nights of entertainment and characters that families enjoy during their wish trips. Those registered for the Challenge For Hope 5K will be cheered on by Village guests, along with wish families who have stayed in the past and are coming back in support with fond memories.

General Registration for the Challenge For Hope 5K is $35 per person online at www.ChallengeForHope.org or $50 per person on event day. Children five years and under are free. Safe and comfortable costumes welcome! Free off-site parking with shuttle service will be provided at Plaza Del Sol, 3831 W. Vine Street, Kissimmee, FL 34741 and at Medieval Times, 4510 Street, Kissimmee, FL 34746, starting at 5 a.m. Strollers and wheelchairs acceptable. Bicycles, roller skates, in-line skates, skateboards and dogs not permitted. Registration opens onsite from 6 to 7 a.m. Shuttles return to parking lot 9 to 10 a.m.
