Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort to Transform Swan Resort Lobby

The Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort received a major lobby redesign last year, and now it’s time for the lobby in the Swan Resort to be transformed. The work will be done in phases and it is scheduled to be complete this year. The lobby work is only part of what the resorts received – rooms at both hotels were redesigned, and meeting space was renovated. The lobby of the Walt Disney World Dolphin is beautiful, I am looking forward to seeing what the Swan will look like when fully finished. Photos below show the concepts.  The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin are in a great location, within a 15 minute walk of Epcot or Disney’s Hollywood Studios (or a boat ride to either). LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Aug. 20, 2018 – Following the completion of the largest renovation in its history last fall, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort is undergoing its next redesign project, a $3 million transformation of the Swan Resort’s lobby, public spaces and coffee bar. Upon completion, the resort’s two main lobbies, all guest rooms and meeting spaces will all have completely updated appearances.

The new Swan spaces will incorporate the water theme of the redesigned guest rooms and Dolphin lobby, providing an elegant, classic look to the resort’s lobby, rotunda, front desk, lounging areas and corridors. Features like lantern lights and sconces, Bahama shutters and palm leaf designs will transport visitors to a serene tropical oasis. The Swan’s coffee bar, Java Bar, will also receive a refreshed look as part of the redesign.

The project follows the $150 million, three-year renovation which included a redesign of all guest rooms, complete transformation of the Dolphin Resort lobby and renovation of all meeting space, which finished its final phase in fall 2017.

The Swan Resort project will take place in phases, in order to remain open to guests throughout the renovation, and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2018.
