Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween 2017 Photos (Over 100) and Videos From 3 Party Nights

We attended the first three Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights of 2017. I posted the article Our 23 Tips to Enjoy Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2017 at Magic Kingdom last week,  and it took a few extra days to post this article as we had been preparing for Hurricane Irma (which just passed).

I took thousands of photos over the several nights, this isn’t an exhaustive look at the Party but I chose over 100 to share here, plus videos. One of the nights was clear with no rain, one was partly rainy and the last was a pretty heavy rain night – though even on the rain night, all of the major Party elements were available (Mickey’s Boo-to-You Parade, one Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular and HallowWishes). On the rain night, trick-or-treating and character meet and greets were also available.

This is my 10th or 11th year of posting photos from Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, it is fun to see the changes each year.

Sometime before 4:00 p.m., the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party balloons go up above the Magic Kingdom toll plaza. We were able to photograph them once in the three days, since we usually arrived earlier than that.

Guests can enter Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at 4:00 p.m. There are a few bonus elements open at that time before the official 7:00 start – trick-or-treating behind Main Street, and a few meet and greets. And guests can enjoy the rest of the park as well on their Party ticket.

Mickey pumpkins on the poles can be seen before guests enter the park.

These pumpkins have been in this location (and near Town Square Theater) for a few years or so now, they used to be out front.

I took a photo of the See Ya Real Soon pumpkins when entering the park, that is what guests see on the way out. At night, this is illuminated.

Guests can have photos taken here between the pumpkins. During the Party, it becomes a Photopass location with a Magic Shot.

Welcome to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

For the second year, there is an Allergy-Friendly Experience for guests. Trick-or-Treating is as usual but for tokens instead of candy, and then guests can turn in their tokens for treats.

The Main Street bypass is to the right hand side. This year, Cast Members have really made sure to let guests know about it upon entering the park. This is the second year for this location.

These statues used to be in the hub up until a couple of years ago during the Halloween season.

A new inflatable Mars arch went up on the second Party night.

This area opens at 4:00 p.m. with the Party, and closes around 8:00 p.m. maybe a little later – when all day guests have left the park.

The first treats are Mars candy.

Guests can also purchase items, I don’t recall this last year. Pumpkins, pins, t-shirts – a limited amount of Halloween merchandise.

On our third night, it started raining early and nearly until the end of the Party. The area for trick-or-treating was put underneath where the Tomorrowland Terrace is.

There is also a Wristband Distribution area near the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor.

Guests receive candy here too.

The Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball starts at 7:00 p.m. at Rockettower Stage.

But first, we will head to Liberty Square for Jack and Sally on the first night.

Jack and Sally meet at about 5:00 p.m., at least they did the first few Party nights. I expect that will continue. The Liberty Square gazebo is decorated for them. I recommend arriving here around 4:00 p.m. and saving Party time if you want to meet them.

The second night, we met the Seven Dwarfs. They started around 6:15 p.m. that night. The line when we got into it – around 4:30 p.m. I think – wasn’t too long at that point. This is a very popular meet and greet, as is Jack and Sally.

After the Seven Dwarfs, we waited for characters in Storybook Circus. Minnie meets by herself, as does Goofy and Cruella DeVil. Donald and Daisy greet together. We met everyone but Cruella, and they start at 7:00 p.m.

It still wasn’t working.

These meet and greets are popular but not to the extent of Jack and Sally or Seven Dwarfs.

There is a Halloween speciality popcorn bucket. If you are looking to buy it, purchase it earlier in the evening as I understand there is a limited supply each night.

The Scream-O-Ween Halloween Ball was kicking off.

Mike Wazowski, Sulley and Boo were the characters out for the Party.

There is Candy Corn ice cream again this year at Storybook Treats.

The Pooh characters meet in Fantasyland, dressed in their Halloween costumes. This is a popular meet and greet but does tend to be a slower moving line because of the amount of characters here.

Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger do not sign autographs, but guests receive this souvenir autograph card (front and back shown here).

Moana is meeting here for her first year. She is very popular! I have heard she starts earlier than the Party now, but I don’t believe she did on the first night.

Anastasia and Drizella were in front of Philharmagic during the rain night.

Philharmagic was really empty on the second night we went, I wasn’t sure it was even open but it is – both for treats and to watch animated shorts.

If it is raining or hot out, this is a nice respite.

We met Mickey at Town Square Theater.

During our first evening we had gone to the Disney Parks Blog event, Jeff won it. The event included the Happy HalloWishes Dessert Party.

I don’t personally recommend the party, there are better desserts around the park. Alcohol isn’t served here, it is Sparkling Cider. HalloWishes special viewing is included but there are a lot of good places to watch the fireworks show from otherwise.

While trying a few of the official dessert party desserts, we were shown what full-size specialty desserts from around the park looked like. Most of these are only for sale during Party nights.

The Haunted Mansion desserts are very tasty, at least the one we purchased was. These were just for display for us to photograph during the event although there was no sign and guests eventually started eating them.

I purchased the Pumpkin Cheesecake Dome on the second night from the Main Street Bakery. It is also at Gaston’s Tavern, but the bakery is a Starbucks location and I could use my Starbucks card and earn points. This is delicious!

This is one of the Haunted Mansion Dessert signs. We only tried two desserts, it is a lot with all the candy too around the park to do more than that. I would have liked to have tried this as well.

We picked this one up, the Haunted Mansion quicksand tart with a peanut butter whip inside. I do recommend it.

The Tomorrowland projections look great this year.

A Turkey Leg pumpkin was inside Cosmic Ray’s. I did not see it during the third Party night.

Buzz Lightyear and X-S Tech pumpkins were inside the Stitch’s Great Escape treat trail the first and second nights, and moved to Cosmic Rays the third.

The Stitch’s Great Escape treat trail was my favorite.

While we were waiting for Mickey’s Boo-to-You Parade in Town Square, some new looking projections were on the Main Street buildings.
