Book Review: Disney Parks Presents: Pirates of the Caribbean

Disney Parks Presents: Pirates of the Caribbean is a new book geared more toward children. This is probably the easiest review I’ve written, it’s a very straightforward book. The lyrics to the famous song by X. Atencio are illustrated (beautifully by Mike Wall), with artwork looking very much like the attraction – and there is at least one hidden Mickey. A CD of the song also accompanies the book. If anything, you might have to explain to your kids what some of the lyrics mean, like “We extort, we pilfer, we filch and sack”, but maybe you’ve already had that talk after riding the attraction. While I said the book was geared toward kids, I think it probably will have a strong adult interest if mostly for the CD inside. Disney Parks Presents: Pirates of the Caribbean is a handsomely presented book and a nice gift for any Pirates of the Caribbean attraction fan. The book has nothing to do with the films, i.e. – no Jack Sparrow, etc.
