Joy and Sadness From “Inside Out” Begin Greeting Guests at Epcot’s Character Spot
Hi everyone!
Joy and Sadness from Disney-Pixar’s Inside Out began meeting today at the Epcot Character Spot. We had a chance to meet them last year at a Disney Parks Blog event, but this is their first meet and greet location inside the parks. The two emotions can be found inside Headquarters with the console at the ready. If you’ve met Baymax, they are very close to that meet and greet area. There is no Fastpass for Joy and Sadness or Baymax. Their meet and greet began at 9:00 a.m. this morning, and they were ending at 9:00 p.m. If that schedule holds up, I’d expect the late time to be a good one to see them.
It was a perfect spring day for Epcot and meeting the characters.
The queue includes Riley’s long-term memory and a lot of purple.
Joy and Sadness were very popular today. We waited 45 minutes in a relatively short line, but they were taking their time with each set of guests. Because of their popularity, it is possible that guests will be moved a little quicker through – but it was really nice today.
Before finishing the pictures, here is our video from today.
Sadness signs an autograph.
I didn’t expect to ask for an autograph, but I used a piece of paper from my bag. Joy has a smiley face in the “o” and Sadness a teardrop at the end of her signature.
Joy takes her turn signing.
Riley’s memories are played on the screen behind them.
And here are a couple of more photos inside the queue.
The islands are in these “windows”.
Are you looking forward to meeting Joy and Sadness?
