Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Oasis Pool Progress, December 10th, 2015

Hi everyone!

Here is a quick look at construction at the Oasis Pool at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (formerly just called the East Pool/quiet pool). There has been no date that I’ve seen announced for this project, I’ve read possibly spring. We learned back in March that there would be an Oasis Bar & Grill, which looks like it will be for resort guests only. There is a fairly large building being added here, which likely will hold changing rooms/restrooms as well. We don’t head this way (for pool photos) too often, so it is nice to see the progress. This was never a massively popular pool, even from the time I was a kid in the 70s/80’s, I expect that will change some once this is open. We posted about the Lava Pool opening earlier this year!

We had been told earlier this year that the pool wouldn’t be expansive as some had hoped, it looks to be similar in size.

This looks like the jacuzzi location. Until this year, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort was the one deluxe resort that never had a jacuzzi.

Work continues behind the building as well.

If the pool opens in spring, that is just around the corner!
