Review of Doc McStuffins: Cuddle Me Lambie
When it comes to Disney, little is as popular as the Disney Junior brand – and Doc McStuffins is one of the reasons why. Disney has released this Cuddle Me Lambie DVD with 5 episodes from the show, including “My Huggie Valentine/Dusty Bear”.
In “My Huggie Valentine”, Doc McStuffins receives a plush Valentine from her parents, and names her Val, a shortened version of Valentine. Lambie has been looking forward to Valentine’s Day, decorating the playhouse and awaiting Doc to celebrate with. Unfortunately, Val has other ideas, and takes over the Valentine’s Day celebration – even giving out hugs and cuddles, leaving Lambie hurt. Doc does a checkup on Lambie, noticing tears and diagnosing Lambie as having a broken heart. Doc lets Lambie know that nobody can ever replace her, and Lambie’s “splitheartitis” is quickly fixed. Val and Lambie become friends. This is a tender and sweet episode, perfect for Valentine’s Day or anytime.
In “Dusty Bear”, Teddy B. – Donny’s bear – gets a checkup from Doc McStuffins after Donny starts sneezing when holding Teddy. Teddy B. hasn’t been held in a long time, due to Donny’s allergies. Doc remembers her mom saying that Donny was allergic to dust. Doc figures out that Teddy just needs a cleaning in the washing machine to be able to be played with again. The other stuffed animals volunteer to go through the washing machine with Teddy B., and everyone feels cleaner than ever!
There is much more to see on this DVD, which offers 2 full hours of fun. Kids will want to watch it over and over, learning lessons about life and singing along with the characters from Doc McStuffins – Doc, Lambie, Stuffy, Chilly and more! Doc even gives a checkup to a super hero “Awesome Guy” in “Awesome Guy’s Awesome Arm”.
