Kit Heath Adds Claddagh Mickey to Celtic Mickey Jewelry Collection at Epcot

One of my favorite things to do at Epcot is to browse the World Showcase shops, which feature unique goods from around the world. Sometimes the stores include Disney themed merchandise that you can’t find anywhere else. In the case of The Tea Caddy in Epcot’s United Kingdom pavilion, Kit Heath began offering Disney jewelry with a Celtic twist just over a year ago. Now the Celtic Mickey Collection by Kit Heath has expanded with a new offering, the Claddagh Mickey necklace.

I wrote an article about what is now known as the Celtic Mickey Collection by Kit Heath just over a year ago, and my friend Kelly gifted me with a necklace I’d mentioned admiring not long after that (one that I planned to purchase). It is unusual to see all the Kit Heath Disney themed jewelry in stock at any given time, the pieces are that popular. I receive compliments on my necklace often. The Celtic Mickey Collection is exclusive to The Tea Caddy.

Here is the Claddagh Mickey necklace. I hate to say it, but I thought it was Minnie at first! I reached out to the rep I’d met in 2012 to find out about this particular necklace. Like all of the Celtic Mickey Collection, it is sterling silver. She told me that “The Claddagh is a Celtic symbol of friendship and love. The hands represent friendship, the heart represents love, and the crown represents loyalty. So with the Claddagh Mickey, friendship and loyalty go hand and hand with Mickey”.

I wear my Kit Heath necklace almost everywhere. I liked this one because it had an Epcot look to it and is a simple but pretty pattern.
