Strawberry Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich Debuts For Spring at Epcot’s L’Artisan des Glaces

Nearly a year ago, I wrote up an article about all the ways to enjoy macarons at the Epcot’s France Pavilion. Since then, L’Artisan des Glaces has kept the Chocolate Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich on the menu, but added a new one each season as well. This may be my favorite yet – the Strawberries & Cream Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich!

For those who haven’t been to L’Artisan des Glaces, it is located over the bridge (which was still decorated for Christmas last week), inside of Epcot’s France Pavilion. While Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie opens at 9:00 a.m. – and I recommend it for a leisurely morning breakfast – L’Artisan des Glaces opens at noon, which is an hour after the remainder of the pavilion opens.

L’Artisan des Glaces is in the place of the former bakery location. Everything here is made from scratch, including the ice cream and macarons.

The Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich is the same price as a single scoop of ice cream, $3.99 or one counter service credit on the Disney Dining Plan.

The strawberry ice cream is made with fresh Florida strawberries, and the flavor really pops. $3.99 is a very good value for this handcrafted dessert.

We often stop at the pavilion for a baguette at Les Halles (just $2.95 for a full baguette) and a Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich. The baguettes, desserts, macarons – everything – is made behind-the-scenes here. We highly recommend making a stop!
