LEGOLAND Hotel Set to Open on May 15th, 2015; Heartlake City Announced for Summer Debut at LEGOLAND Florida (Photos, Video)
Hi everyone!
We were invited to LEGOLAND Florida yesterday for a hardhat tour of the LEGOLAND Hotel as well as the announcement of the upcoming and very girl-friendly Heartlake City land in LEGOLAND park. Here are photos, video and information about the new additions! You can see by the first photo how close the hotel will be to the park entrance, just an extremely quick walk.
The LEGOLAND Hotel will be five stories tall and offer 152 rooms for guests, immersing them into the LEGO theme with more than 2000 LEGO models and over 2 million LEGO bricks comprising those models. There will be 4 different themed room types – 3 have been announced so far: Pirate, Adventure and Kingdom. Each standard room will be 360 square feet and include an adult sleeping area with King bed, and a children’s area with bunk bed and trundle. There will be suites as well.
May 15th, 2015 is the date that was announced yesterday for the Grand Opening of the LEGOLAND Hotel.
LEGOLAND Florida General Manager Adrian Jones made note of what we’d already noticed – that this is now the LEGOLAND Florida Resort, and not just a park. He also talked about the “Disco Elevators” where guests can dance to different sound effects.

I had never heard of Heartlake City until yesterday, but these LEGO Friends – Andrea, Mia, Olivia, Stephanie and Emma – are extremely popular with little girls, and this new land is certain to bring a new audience of children to LEGOLAND. There will be a horse-themed disc coaster called Mia’s Riding Adventure and an interactive show titled “Friends to the Rescue”. Heartlake Mall will feature new shops. Heartlake City is set to open in Summer 2015.

After the announcement, we made several stops to find out more about each area. This video not only shows the LEGO Friends again, but offers more details about the area.
Guests will enjoy the Bricks Family Restaurant inside LEGOLAND Hotel. There will be a buffet station designed just for kids with healthy options available within reach of young hands. Restaurants and lounges will be available to the public based on availability. In addition, one of the real highlights of staying at LEGOLAND Hotel will be the Master Model Builders Workshop. This is something that most LEGOLAND guests do not experience, and adds tremendous value to a LEGOLAND Hotel stay. LEGOLAND Hotel Florida is the first LEGOLAND Hotel to have its own model shop.

Each room will have at least 8 LEGO models inside.
From one of the suites, we could see a little of the LEGOLAND park, as well as the construction on the pool.
Artwork was posted showing what the different room types will look like when done. This is the Pirate Room.
One of the Master Model Builders talked about the LEGO models in the hotel. Each style room will have the same figures.
