Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Pool Reopens with Fence: Splash Pad Still Being Built

Hi everyone!

The Silver Creek Springs Pool at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge has reopened with a fence. There is a splash pad being built, it doesn’t look like it will be long until it is available to guests. Take a look at our photos, which include some Christmas photos from inside the resort!

The pool and a portion of the beach underwent an extensive refurbishment, it looked like it wouldn’t be on schedule just a few weeks back. But the pool is available to guests, with a new fence around it.

The fence really stands out, but hopefully trees and plants will fill in around it. It is themed to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge with bears.

The splash pad is similar to the ones at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground with the bucket that will release every so often.

I can’t imagine it will be much longer until it is open, but I don’t know a date.

Guests who are visiting the resort but not staying can still access the Trout Pass Bar, via a walkway.

The walkway from the Trout Pass Bar passes the geyser, with access to either the main building or the boat dock.

Here is another look at the fence and splash pad.

There is work being done on the “bear face” of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, beyond the pool.

The splash pad will be a nice addition to the pool area.

Inside Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! This bear family photo op is now a yearly tradition here, and each year the location seems to look a little nicer.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge may be my favorite of the Walt Disney World resorts for Christmas.

Decorative deer always find a place above the entrance.

Refurbishment is keeping these doors closed right now.

The public fireplace rooms are a favorite for us! Jeff holds his hands by the fire.

What do you think of the changes to the pool area at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge?
