Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2014: 200 Photos and Video From the First Party
It is time for the villainous part of the parade!
Another of our favorite floats. It’s good to be back!
Big Bad Wolf.
Bowler Hat Guy is in the parade this year.
Cruella De Vil.
The Red Queen.
Jafar and Maleficent.
The Evil Queen at the back of the float.
Here is our video of the Villains segment from the parade.
There is a new end banner as well.
I was holding spots for both parades, and missed the Villains Mix and Mingle Show. It has some changes this year, including a new light package on Cinderella Castle (make sure to see it after dark, or you’ll miss it!) Jeff shared some screen captures of the show. There is one less show this year unfortunately, with only two chances to see it after dark right now.
Here is our video of part of the Villains Mix & Mingle, including the changes.
I was able to see just a bit of it from my HalloWishes spot.
Celebrate the Magic offers the Halloween segment now. It includes Maleficent and Ursula!
HalloWishes is my favorite Magic Kingdom fireworks show. It is so colorful!
Next, we went to see talking Mickey Mouse. Because he wasn’t dressed special for Christmas last year, we expected the same for Halloween. We were happy to be wrong!
Mickey even had some Halloween jokes. He showed us the “Goofy zombie” walk.
Here is our video with talking Mickey!
The lighting in Tomorrowland is different this year, geared more towards Monsters, Inc.
Cast Members were joking with guests.
The Rockettower Plaza Stage has a dance party with Sulley, Mike, Boo and more Monsters favorites!
Merchandise for the Party includes t-shirts and pins. We didn’t get a photo of the pins, but did find the t-shirts.
Another Monsters, Inc. logo.
I made a quick stop for food at Cosmic Rays, which stays open until midnight. They offer a Cherry Slush in a souvenir mug.
The Seven Dwarfs were still out meeting guests. The line was probably 15 minutes at this point.
And Jeff ran into Snow White and the Hag! It was a fun exchange on video.
Even the area around Rapunzel’s Tower was nicely lit.
It was time to head back to the Diamond Horseshoe for Club Villain!
The theming is really great here.
Jeff poses with Lady Tremaine.
There were quite a few characters out both times I visited.
Anastasia busts a move!
Drizella.
Lady Tremaine.
The Dagger Dans – we missed their sets, but expect to see them next week.
Adventureland and Frontierland will have to wait until next week as well. We never even made it there. We knew we’d be back, there is so much more to see!
The Haunted Mansion looks beautiful at night during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
We ended up staying in the park longer than we ever have on Party nights. Usually we are among the last to leave, around 1:00 a.m. Because it was such a slow night, I figured it might be earlier. On the contrary, due to a Villains Soiree lasting into the late evening, we didn’t end up leaving the park until nearly 1:20 a.m. Photopass photographers were out until nearly 1:00 a.m. and there were photos we wanted to take once they left (mostly in the hub). Here are some night photos!
I was wondering where the Jack Skellington pumpkin went, it did finally arrive to the Magic Kingdom! Some pumpkins took a while to be added.
This is the spot we always photograph on Party nights with the tripod. It is a lovely view down Main Street through the pumpkins!
See Ya Real Soon!
One last look back at the pumpkins outside before heading out for the night…or shall we say, morning.
Will you be heading to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year?
