In Mousesteps Weekly #109, we talk:
Disney’s Polynesian Resort, which is undergoing a huge refurbishment as DVC bungalows are added, the lobby is redone, and the Nanea Volcano Pool is nearing closure for work. Most of the resort will be very different next year. We take a look both inside and out, and stop at Kona Cafe for breakfast (Tonga Toast!) The stream is now blocked off near the Great Ceremonial House, and Captain Cook’s construction work can be seen.
Next, we head to the Magic Kingdom to celebrate Disneyland’s 59th birthday. We rode opening day Disneyland attractions (or as close as we could come to it), watched Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade; ate at the Plaza Restaurant (our tradition each year) and checked out the new smoke effects (no fire) at the Settler’s Cabin from the Liberty Belle.
Last, we visited Epcot for a nightcap to watch the Frozen fireworks again! We love the view from here.
