Cinderella Castle Suite Revisited Next Week on an Imagineer-Led Tour Through Fantasyland Castles
Hi everyone!
The Disney Parks Blog had a sweepstakes yesterday for Limited Time Magic, with the winners (25 per day next week) being able to take an Imagineer-led tour of the Fantasyland castles (including the Cinderella Castle Suite). I was chosen as one of the winners!
This is what I’ll be able to do on Wednesday as part of the tour – and I’ll take as many photos and as much video (if allowed) as I can:
“Each morning from October 14-18, 2013, a group of lucky guests will be invited to join us for a special walking tour of the castles. During each session, you’ll hear some great details, including how the existing Cinderella Castle design became the main inspiration for the Cinderella Castle Suite. Imagineers will also take guests through Be Our Guest Restaurant located in the magnificent castle of the Beast and share behind-the-scenes information”.
I had the opportunity to stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite in 2007 just a few days before Christmas during the Year of a Million Dreams, which is the year I started Mousesteps. It will be very different touring the suite than sleeping there, though it wasn’t like I had tons of time inside the suite even back then. Between dinner at Cinderella Royal Table, VIP parade viewing, and an after-hours Keys to the Kingdom tour, Disney kept us very busy! I’m pretty excited to see it in a different way, with an Imagineer explaining the thought put into it. It will also be interesting to see if they break the group of 25 (or however many show up) into smaller groups. The Cinderella Castle Suite is very small, and felt tight even with a group of 6 adults.

The Cinderella Castle Suite article has been our most viewed article to date, and Mousesteps readers are often looking for information on how to stay there. Disney has never offered the suite at a cost, just for free – it seems now usually to celebrities, though there are occasional contests too. I’d heard rumors that wish kids also have been placed there, but I’ve not seen anything to substantiate this, and it doesn’t make sense that the suite would be used for that (it doesn’t offer a pool or other luxuries that Give Kids the World or a Disney resort would have for families).
We’ve also dined at Be Our Guest Restaurant on several occasions, and talked with Imagineer Chris Beatty about it. But it will be fun to actually tour it, and hear new stories. And Princess Fairytale Hall is part of the Castle Courtyard, so it will be interesting to see if we make a stop by!

My tour is on Wednesday, October 16th. If you have any questions for the Imagineers, let me know and I’ll ask if I can! I’ll post a link to my article about the tour after that date. I plan to post Instagram photos that day as well, you can find us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter as Mousesteps!
We will also be updating our MagicBand articles next week!
